The Department
Istanbul University was founded in 1453. As a part of Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Pediatric Nephrology Department has experience in all fields of pediatric nephrology including pediatric dialysis and transplantation since 1964. Our department has been continuing an active collaboration with the ESCAPE group over 18 years. Prof. Dr. Sevinc EMRE was former lead investigator in the ESCAPE network and participated in ESCAPE trial, PODONET and 4C study. Upon her retirement, Prof. Dr. Alev YILMAZ and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Nagehan YURUK YILDIRIM have been conducting the studies including 4C, PodoNet, ARegPKD, ADPKD, Exosome study, 3H study, IPPN, IPHDN study.
