The Department

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, is one of the leading centers in the field of pediatric nephrology in Turkey. Our division, located in Ankara, is a tertiary referral center dedicated in patient care (including dialysis and renal transplantation facilities), research and education of medical students, trainees in pediatrics and fellows in pediatric nephrology. More than 10,000 outpatients’ visits are performed in our center per year. Each year a wide variety of clinical cases are evaluated and managed with a multidisciplinary approach including pathology, surgery, intensive care and other related disciplines. The Nephrogenetics Laboratory of the center is dedicated specifically to genetics in nephrology and is actively serving to both pediatric and adult nephrology communities.

We have been a partner of the ESCAPE Consortium for the last two decades and have been actively participating in the ESCAPE Trial, the 4C Study, PREDICT, PodoNet, EURenOmics, ARegPKD Registry, UTILISE and the CERTAIN Registry.
