Jérôme Harambat

Jerome Harambat (MD 2006, PhD 2012) is Professor of Pediatrics and head of the Rare Kidney Disease Reference Center (SORARE) at Bordeaux University Hospital, France. He trained in pediatric nephrology at Lyon University Hospitals, holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Public Health School of Bordeaux (ISPED), and did research scholarships in the Netherlands and Germany. He has been the chairman of the French pediatric kidney replacement therapy registry (REIN Registry) and the chairman of the European Society for Pediatric Nephrology registry (ESPN/ERA Registry). Jerome leads a renal epidemiology group at the Bordeaux Public Health School, he is the medical coordinator of the pediatric Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) of Bordeaux, and investigator of multicenter studies on kidney disease outcome in children in France and in Europe using cohorts and registries. He is involved in several ESCAPE network projects (like the 4C study).
