The Department

The Pediatric Nephrology Department of Zurich is the largest Nephrology center in Switzerland providing the full spectrum of treatment options for acute and end stage renal disease including peritoneal dialysis, hemofiltration, hemodialysis and renal transplantation. Our multidisciplinary team provides medical and psychosocial care for all children aged birth to 18 years.

The clinical service is complemented by a broad spectrum of research activities. This includes genetic, experimental and clinical research projects. Additionally the team is collaborating with other national and international clinical research projects, as well as with many registries. This strong interest in scientific approaches is also represented in the collaboration with the ESCAPE Trial Group.
